Lymington provides the opportunity to experience sailing in a busy tidal river estuary leading into the Solent.

Many World & Olympic Class sailors have learned & honed their skills in the Lymington River and Western Solent.

Many scenic destinations are within a few hours sail - Hurst Castle, Keyhaven Alum Bay, Totland Bay, Yarmouth, Newtown Creek, Cowes, Beaulieu...

RYA Level 1 course in a
Wayfarer Dinghy on the
Lymington River

The Wayfarer is 16 feet long and is a very popular boat with Sailing Schools and LTSC members - ideal for sailing in the river, cruising around the Solent or even further afield.

New to Sailing

The RYA (National Sailing Authority) has developed and maintains an internationally recognised programme of training courses.
LTSSP, our in house Training Centre, is accredited to provide training  courses for
RYA level 1 (Start Sailing) ,

 RYA Level 2 (Basic Skills) and beyond

It is never to late to learn - some start sailing after they have retired - sailing is for life!

By enrolling on an RYA accredited course you will receive tuition within the National Sailing Scheme from RYA qualified Dinghy instructors and there will be safety boat cover in accordance with RYA guidelines.

You can gain experience after your initial training by joining in with the LTSC Saturday Sailing activities before progressing to your next course.
