LTSC Saturday Sailing

Saturday Sailing takes place on Saturdays between April and November
except when there is a Dinghy Cruise or a major Club Event

Club Members are invited to participate in their dinghies and take LTSC members who are relative newcomers to sailing so that they can gain sailing experience (as helm/crew) in a range of dinghies
and build upon any training that they may have received

To Participate

Meet at 12.45pm in the lower bar to sign on and attend briefing
Children under 12 years old must be accompanied by a parent/guardian

Bring Buoyancy aid and appropriate clothing.

Rig boats, launch boats, go sailing, join in informal race, return to slipway, put boats away

Meet for debriefing

Activities
A volunteer LTSC Supervisor organises Saturday Sailing Activities in accordance with the LTSC DSMS.

Racing
A volunteer LTSC approved Race Officer organises introductory races for participants as specified by the Supervisor

Safety Boat Cover
LTSC approved Volunteers drive the Club RIBs.

Club Boat
LTSC has a 420 dinghy, the international youth class, which may be used by suitably qualified members.

Training
The RYA (National Sailing Authority) has developed an internationally recognised programme of training courses.
LTSSP, our in house Training Centre, is an RYA Recognised Training Centre and provides Dinghy training courses for RYA level 1, RYA Level 2 and beyond
