Rules for the use of the Pontoon (pdf file)


The private pontoon of 31m length situated at the southern end of the Harbour Masters Pontoon may be used by any LTSC member, or reciprocal member by prior appointment may use the pontoon subject to the following:

1 Length of stay: The following should be observed.

a)  Stays should be limited to between 0900 until 1700 under normal circumstances. Every effort should be made to clear earlier if possible.

b)  Overnight stays are limited to five vessels only. Boats wishing to moor overnight must first book through the office. Overnight mooring in an emergency, (eg engine failure or when returning in the hours of darkness), owners must inform the office as soon as possible.

c)  Visiting clubs must obtain specific permission for use of the pontoon via the office.

2          Mooring on the outside of the pontoon is limited to a maximum of 4 boats (rafted in pairs). The hatched area (outside, seaward end of the pontoon) is limited to 15 minutes for loading/unloading ONLY. Boats on the inside, including Safety RIBs, must not be rafted. The designated moorings are marked as: 1, 2 ,1A, 2A and 3 and should be filled in that order.

3   No overhang past the notice at the northern end (LHC Pontoon).

4   “Fortuna’s” mooring, on the western side of the pontoon, is to be kept clear at all times.

5 LTSC Burgees are to be flown at all times whilst moored on the pontoon.

6 All river bylaws are to be observed.

7 Infringement of these rules could jeopardise our pontoon lease.
