URGENT NOTICE
17 January 2007

FLOTSAM FROM MV ICE PRINCE
HM Coastguard are warning that timber cargo from MV Ice Prince could come ashore between Dorset and Sussex. Significant amounts of timber are floating south of the Isle of Wight. All sailors are advised to be aware of this hazard. Further information is available on the Coastguard website at

Anyone finding any cargo should report it to the MCA's Receiver of Wreck (ROW). Police forces along the south coast have been authorised by the ROW to act on her behalf. People failing to comply with their directions would be committing an offence for which they may be convicted and fined up to £2500.
