COMPETITORS INFORMATION
1. WSCRA HANDICAPS
The system is in essence a
performance related handicap, and consequently is transparent to all
competitors.
1a. After establishing the initial
handicap based on current data and archive records for all competing
boats, frequent adjustments will be made in the light of race results
Fluctuations to a boat’s handicap may vary as much as 5% in the early
stages, and a finite handicap is expected to evolve as the series of
races progresses.
1b.To help the handicapper
establish your first handicap I would appreciate it if you could fill
out the attached measurement form, highlighting in detail any changes
made to the boat and sails from the 2006 data.
Please also state on the form your
preference: - Class 1. IRC TCF or Class 2. Handicap.
2. SUMMER SERIES TROPHIES.
All boats will receive a WSCRA
handicap!
This year the emphasis will be on the
full Summer Series.
A programme of 9 races, with 2
discounts, 7results will decide the series trophies.
The overall winner of IRC class 1.
Will be awarded the IOR / IRC West
Solent points Trophy.
The overall winner of WSCRA handicap
class 2.
Will be awarded the West Bromwich
Challenge Cup
The runner up will receive the
Jackson & Jackson Cup
Individual race winners may receive a
club trophy from the organising club.
And will receive beer tokens
generously supplied by our Sponsors Ringwood Brewery.

The
format will remain the same.
